Valentine's Day Fun

Student Council came up with an excellent fundraiser idea for Valentine's Day. For $1, Student Council cupids would write a personalized poem for your friend or sweetheart and deliver it (with great fanfare) in class.

The bows and arrows were a loud precursor to the Cupids' arrival, and over 200 poems were read in classes throughout the course of the day. It was just the right amount of levity for the holiday.

Here's a poem dedicated to me by Student Council moderator extraordinaire, Mrs. Dominique Craft.

From Mrs. Craft to Mrs. Pommer
Mrs. Pommer, Your google searching skills are stellar
And you know what books should be bestsellers
You help my students with their paper topics--from Marie Antoinette to the Communist Manifesto
I would be your friend if it were only for your awesome pesto

Standing on chairs? In the library? What a day!
