I'm so excited to announce that this summer's community book is
William Goldman's
The Princess Bride.
This is one of the first summer reading assemblies where students have thanked me afterwards for choosing a book they want to read. I don't actually choose the book, but I appreciate the thought. Plus, they're required to watch the movie, and I think it will be fun discussion Goldman's novel with his movie adaptation.

Anybody who's read the book knows it's a lot more than that.)
