Otis, the (cookie loving) dog

Last year, Saint Stephen's students worked really hard to raise money to sponsor Otis. We worked with Southeastern Guide Dogs, a wonderful organization that trains therapy dogs.

He's named for the famous (at least around here) Otis Spunkmeyer cookies served at cookie break in the morning.

He visited as a young puppy last May, and it was great to hear an update this morning. Here is a note from his trainer.

Young Otis has benefited from lots of love and training, so much so that he is looking like a great candidate to help someone who will rely on him for stability and guidance.  Otis gets along very well with other dogs and loves playing whenever he gets a chance. He is the star at his weekly obedience classes and whoever meets him instantly falls in love.  He loves to cuddle, even if its just the table or a box. He is also a big time licker, gives lots of kisses and asks for a treat as often as possible, even if its not a Spunkmeyer cookie.
