The Perils of Small-City Papers
I'm not saying that I disagree with the sentiment, but please tell me that we're teaching our kids media literacy skills to evaluate what they read.
I personally love having the time to relax over a print newspaper in the morning, but this paper came as a shock after being used to the New York Times. Why do we lament the status of newspapers today after firing so many journalists?

Wonder where they got the reactions? I do so love the unbiased, news reporting media.
By asking passerby on the mall. :)
While newspapers are not what they once were, they remain a great way to start off the day. I love reading the news, the feaures, the editorials, and doing the crossword puzzle. It's just not the same getting information on the internet. Even more importantly, without newspapers where would Jay Leno get material for his Headlines segment - one of the funniest bits on TV?
It's not the same as watching, but if you can't stay up until midnight, it's the next best option.
