The New Otani Hotel Bathroom

Now for something a little, alright much, lighter than the previous post (ignoring the unfinished mystery file that's just wandered back to the draft pile on the off-chance that you were reading this over the weekend), but I wanted to change up the pace a little. Since some of you haven't traveled much and others are consummate budget travelers, I thought this was worth noting from luxury and Japanese travel points of view.

First, here's a list of the free supplies: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razor, shaving gel, aftershave, toothbrush, toothpaste, hair brush, soap, shower cap, q-tips, and cotton pads.

I needed someone to explain the water rushing sewer noise to me. It's water draining out a hotel sewer with grates in the bathroom. Why it's visible to me? Verdict unknown.

Finally, one girl actually dunked her head under the tub faucet on day one. I'd say most people, including me, took about five minutes to think to pull up, not push, twist, shake, etc.

The anti-fog rectangle is also a little surprising the first time after a hot shower.

Sounds like you are going first class. The Japanese hotels always seemed so clean and well designed for the comfort of the guests.
